Emma Zavala serves as the Assistant Director for ELLA. She holds a Master’s in Education Policy Analysis from Harvard Graduate School of Education and a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from University of San Diego. During her time at HGSE, she consulted for the Secretary of Education of Coahuila, Mexico to design a statewide environmental education plan. She is passionate about finding innovative ways to increase student engagement and retention. She also serves as the Civic Life Administrator for Athletics at Tufts University teaching and coordinating civic engagement opportunities for Tufts student-athletes.
