Maria Luisa Zeta

Maria Luisa Zeta is a second-year PhD student with extensive experience in education policy and research in Latin America. She worked as a Research Coordinator at Innovations for Poverty Action in Peru, contributing to the design and implementation of large-scale impact evaluation studies in education across countries including Costa Rica, Panamá, Paraguay, and Perú. She also served as an economist consultant for the Inter-American Development Bank’s Education Division, supporting monitoring and evaluation efforts across Latin America. Additionally, she served as a Data Lead at the Peruvian Ministry of Education, working with programmatic teams to increase the effectiveness of key school-level interventions and contributing to emergency responses during the pandemic. Her research interests focus on education equity, particularly in post-secondary access and persistence. She holds a Master of Public Affairs (MPA) with a concentration in Economics and Public Policy from Princeton University.
